On the 9th of July, 2021, a busy and a cloudy Friday morning. The people of Bolgatanga were busy. People were sending their wards to school. There is this woman who was sending her children to school on a motorbike. She backed one and the other two were sitting at the back of the motor. According to an eye witness, the woman was sending her children to school whilst the incident happened on the Bolga-Tamale road just around the Nadezeng International School. The accident occured according to an eye witness, when a tricycle tried to overtook the woman and knocked her down. After the woman fell, the two children were able to ran to the other side of the road leaving the woman on the road. A tanker who was also coming couldn't able his break and the smashed the lady with her baby and they died instantly. Their bodies were conveyed to the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital then later taken to the moc. The tanker and the tricycle have been taken the the Bolgatanga police station.
