The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has recently sparked massive stir, debates and arguments across platforms after he stormed police ceremony to meet IGP Dampare face to face over the graduation ceremony of the 50th Cadet Officers course of police service.
The incumbent President, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo was in attendance with other government officials who also took the privilege to grace the special occasion to make it a success.
As part of the incumbent President’s tour in the Ashanti region which began today, 1st October, 2021, the President took grace the occasion as he was the Reviewing Officer at the most anticipated occasion.
Speaking at the occasion, President Akufo made it clear that, the Acting Inspector General of Police, Dr George Akufo Dampare has vindicated his decision for recently choosing him to lead the Ghana police service and with the character displayed for solving Crimea’s across the country, the incumbent President made it clear that, who would soon unveil the Acting IGP as the current Inspector General of Police of the country.
In addition to this, the incumbent President made lots of promises to the police service as a means of making the career lucrative aside solving crimes across the country.
“Reiterating government’s support for the recent actions taking by the acting inspector general of police, George Akufo Dampare, I indicated government’s determination to deal decisively with the threats posed by dangerous criminals and criminal syndicate. Government in recognition of the difficulties and dangers confronting police personnel in the discharge of their duties, remains committed to resourcing the service by the provision of adequate personnel and logistics to enable them deliver on their mandate”, Akufo-Addo emphatically stated.
Upon the President’s post popped up online, most Ghanaians took the privilege to share their immense thoughts and opinions on the performance of the Acting Inspector General of Police, Dr George Akufo Dampare whilst others began complaining about unemployment, unpaid allowances and just to mention but a few.

From the above comments, we can clearly notice that most individuals were in support of the Acting IGP’s duties whilst others stated otherwise.
