Taadi "Kidnapped Pregnant" Woman Granted GH50,000 Bail

The lady at the center of the fake pregnancy, Josephine Panyin Mensah Simons was at the Takoradi Circuit Court A, for the first time after she was arrested. Since the case has attracted national interest, many residents thronged into the court to have a look at the lady. She was accompanied by the police into the court room.

Josephine Panyin Mensah who appeared before the Takoradi Circuit Court A, today, Monday, September 27 pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The charges include deceit of public officer, publication of false news with intent to cause fear and panic.

 The Takoradi circuit court A, presided over by his honour Michael Cudjoe Ampadu has granted bail to Josephine Payin Simons in the sum of 50,000 with two sureties one to be justified to reaapear before court on 14th of October 2021.

This is despite claims by the police that she confessed to faking her kidnapping and pregnancy.
