Ghanaians React After Government’s Announcement To Seek A Bailout From IMF

Following the announcement in a communique released by the Ministry Of Information for Ghana to seek for a bailout from the International Monitory Fund (IMF), social media platforms and users rant hard to make a wit out of the bold decision taken by the government of Ghana.

As a matter of urgency and caution, the news broke that the president, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo has directed the Minister in charge of finance, Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta to make preparations to engage with the IMF directors to help salvage the sinking economy of Ghana.

Following this release, Ghanaians took to their Facebook page to ridicule the Akuffo Addo led administration as they mentioned that it was only an “incompetent” government that will seek for help from the International Monitory Fund (IMF).

The opposition National Democratic Congress members took a swipe at the decision when former communications minister, Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu said,

“I can only imagine the panic that has gripped Bawumia following the announcement of an IMF program by his bungling government,” Mr Ofosu Kwakye mentioned.

Below are the comments in picture from the both prominent and the ordinary Ghanaian.
