Soon after the judge at the Takoradi Harbor Circuit Court granted her bail, it was a mixed feeling for those who have been following the case since news of her supposed kidnapping was announced. Whilst some were excited to see the lady facing punishment for her crimes, others realized it was time for storytelling because a lot has been heard and the lady going home was the best time to ask her all the mind-boggling questions.
For her husband, Edward Amoako Simmons, there were a lot of questions boggling his mind and it was a good time to ask her wife, Josephine Panyin Mensah Simmons. To her family members and close friends, it was the moment to clear all the doubts about the pregnancy report by the doctors and the allegations leveled against her by the police.
Her house at Columbia and Sweet mother at the Central Business district of Takoradi was filled with friends and loved ones who wanted to find out the truth. But it seems fresh trouble has found Josephine Panyin Mensah Simmons. It is more than twenty-four hours since she was granted bail but she is yet to arrive at her home.
She is freed but not free, her Lawyer, Fiifi Buckman Philip has revealed that they are yet to meet the bail conditions and as a result, her freedom is curtailed. The last option left for the lawyers is to go back to the court and negotiate for her fine to be reduced. For now, it is unknown how much they can afford but the GHC 50, 000 with two sureties is becoming a problem for Josephine and her family.
Now, she is in fresh trouble because she will have to spend more days in police custody even though she has been asked to go home and rest. The husband is a mobile money vendor and might not have properties that can serve as securities for the freedom of his wife. The family members who rained curses on the Western Region minister are as well struggling to raise the securities to free their relative. The friends who are still doubting the charges leveled against Josephine are as well nowhere to be found. From how she gained public sympathy, it should have been easier for someone to help her out in this time of trouble but there seems to be no one available. Loved ones should come together and help Josephine out from this fresh trouble.
