UENR Lecturer wins GHIE Chairmanship for Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions

At the Ghana Institution of Engineering's (GhIE) 51st Annual General Meeting and Conference, Kumasi, Ing. Dr. Emmanuel K. Nyantakyi, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani, was elected Regional Chairman for the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo Regions on Friday, March 26th, 2021.

For his selfless contribution and meritorious service to the GhIE, Ing. Dr. Nyantakyi received a Presidential Award.

He was also given a service award by the conference's Local Organizing Committee. He also received an award for his dedicated and devoted contribution to the GhIE in the Ashanti Region as the Immediate Past Chairman.

Ing. Dr. Emmanuel K. Nyantakyi is a Geological Resources Expert. His main areas of research are Applications of Landmark in the analysis of Seismic data and Geosec Software in Geological modelling. He also has interests in Oil, Gas and Mining Wastes Management as well as Oil and Gas Storage and Transportation.

He is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and currently the Partnership Coordinator for RCEES. He is a Council member and the Branch Chair of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) in the Ashanti Region. He represents the Ghana Institution of Engineering on the Entity Tender Committee for the Middle Belt Development Authority which consists of 5 regions namely Eastern, Ashanti, Bono, Bono East and Ahafo.
