The speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has disclosed that 15 Members of Parliament has tested positive for the Covid-19. He also said that 56 Staff members at the Parliament has also tested positive. This issue has become very dangerous at the Parliament of Ghana. Testing of the 227 members of parliament follows today at the Noguchi Institute.
These MP's and staff members has been ordered to self isolate themselves for two weeks in order to avoid the spread of the Covid-19 to their families and friends. He added that, Parliament will sit to implement new measures to curb the spread of this Covid-19. Alban Bagbin added that parliament will be sitting on two times in a week; Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Speaker urged other members who tested in private institutions to submit their results while those who are yet to test have been urged to do so.
