Ghana since ever after independence has not gotten female vice-president before.
The political tune of the dance changed in 1992 when Ghana gained stable leadership and many have been contemplating as whether Ghana would one day give female the vice presidential opportunity?
This has made many females in Ghana asking if the NPP may also consider Honourable Frema Opera who was MP and now the Chief of Staff in the government of the NPP to be the running mate of the flagbearer the party would vote for come 2024 race?
Indeed, The Chief of Staff of Ghana is the coordinator of the supporting staff and the primary aide-de-camp of the President of Ghana.
The chief of staff provides a buffer between President and that executive's direct-reporting team.
The chief of staff also acts as a confidant and advisor to the President, acting as a sounding board for ideas.
Considering the position madam Frema Opare is holding now coupled with her past experiences and political achievements, she may fit to the position of vice president in Ghana.
Honourable Frema Opare also known as Akosua Frema Osei-Opare is a Ghanaian who was born on 6th June, 1948, rating her 73 years currently and an Economist, Banker and a Politician.
She represented Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in the Parliament of Ghana and the current first female Chief of Staff of Ghana.
She is a responsible woman with four children. Aside, she lectured at the University of Ghana as a lecturer at the Department of Home Science from 1976-1982.
She eventually became the Head of Department of the university. She has also worked with the United Nations in the Women In Fisheries project in various capacities in Uganda, Ethiopia, Congo and Namibia.
Madam Frema in 2005-2008, worked under the government of President John Agyekum Kufuor as the Deputy Minister for Manpower, Youth and Employment.
In addition, she once served a two term office as the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, afterwards, she was appointed the first female chief of staff by the president, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo and his NPP government.
Actually, she stands the chance for the vice presidential position from the look of her political achievements and the strengthening campaign of women inclusive project.
