Teenage pregnancy remains a big challenge in Ghana. It has become a canker that has spread the whole of Ghana. The causes of this abnormal high rate of teenage pregnancy are due to many factors. Some of these factors are; lack of parental control, poverty, the influence from the media, peer pressure and among others. According to the study of 2020 statistical data of teenage pregnancy, roughly 301 females will be impregnated every day in Ghana, with 13 adolescent pregnancies registered every hour. Deboase is the capital of the Wassa East District, which is located in the western region of Ghana. According to the Chief, Nana Ekow Piabo IV, the Tufohene of Deboase, the tricycle riders, popularly known as Aboboyaa and Pragya are to be blamed for the town's very high rate of teenage pregnancy.
