Former Hearts Of Oak Captain “Angry” With Samuel Boadu’s Sacking

Accra Hearts of Oak have announced the termination of contract between the club and coach Samuel Boadu.

The manager who had been at the club for two years helped bring back the glory days to the club by winning a league and 2 FA cup trophies. However, performances this season was one of the reasons why he was sacked just a few weeks into the season.

Former Captain of the Phobian club, Amankwah Mireku has registered his displeasure with how the club handled the situation. The ex player was of the view that Samuel Boadu had done enough to be at the club for a longer period of time.

Speaking in an interview on Peace FM, the ex player said “For me, I wasn't happy with the news. I don't think Samuel Boadu should've been sacked because he won 5 trophies in 2 seasons. This is a club that had won nothing in a decade”.

Hearts of Oak are in action this weekend against Bibiani Gold Stars and will be managed by U-20 coach, Samuel Nii Noi.
