Government representatives have verified that Alfred Amoah, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai in the Western North Region, and his personal have driver died in a car accident.
According to witnesses, the incident took place in the Eastern Region at Apedwa close to Tafo.
According to numerous media sources, the MCE and his driver were traveling in a Nissan Patrol with the license plate GN 2060 - 18, and the other collision vehicles were a trailer with the license plate As 4229 - X and a fuel tanker with the license plate GN - 8549 - X.
According to hospital authorities at the Kibi Government Hospital, he and his driver both sustained serious head injuries and passed away instantly.
I was saddened to learn of the passing of Hon. Alfred Amoah, MCE for the Bibiani Anwiaso Bekwai Municipal Assembly, and his driver Samuel Gyasi. Both Alfred and Samuel were devoted citizens who served their country with honor and zeal.
