Teenage pregnancy seems to be increasing by the day and the problem is still active in the various regions in the country
However the Ghana Health Serives has come out to give an exact break down of girls the number of girls who got pregnant in 2020.The news disseminated by UTV Ghana claimed that a total number of 109,888 girls got pregnant last year.The report also said that in every hour 13 girls got pregnant and 301 got pregnant daily as well
Among the ages of these girls were 10 year olds, 15 year olds and 19 year olds.The report further stated that the Ashanti Region recorded the highest cases of teenage pregnancy with over 17,000 cases.Eastern Region and Nothern Region followed concurrently.
Ahafo Region was also said to have recorded the lowest cases of teenage pregnancy in the year 2020.
