Teenage Pregnancy is still on the rise after several awareness creation and the availability of protection and contraceptives.
A research and statistics data spotted online captured huge numbers of teenage pregnancies in Ghana between 2016 - 2020. Ghana recorded outrageous numbers of 555, 575 teenage Pregnancies during the four year period (2016 - 2020).
Young girls who got pregnant at the age of 10-14 years were 13,444 whereas those between the age of 15-19 years old constituted the majority with 542,131.
The Ashanti Region recorded the higher numbers for teenage pregnancies with a whooping number of 89,856 and some social media users weren't so pleased with the Ashantis for recording such high numbers in teenage pregnancies. The Ashanti Region beat the Eastern Region with over 30,000 to claim the top spot and some social media users found that troubling and disgusting.
Eastern Region, Central Region and the Greater Accra Region also recorded some worrisome numbers as well.
