Nomination of metropolitan municipal and district chief executives in the country has kept so long under President, Nana Akufo-Addo's second term and Ghanaians are raising a lot of questions as to why Nana Akufo-Addo is delaying to appoint MMDCEs to govern the affairs of the assemblies across the country?
Many people are not happy about the delay from government in appointing MMDCEs despite announcing that they will made the selected ones known on Sunday.
Could this year (2021) be a waste of year under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo?
An investigative journalist and editor in chief for the fourth Estate media, Manasseh Azure Awuni has stated that by the time MMDAs finish confirming MMDCEs to be appointed and by the time the swearing-ins are completed then 2021 is almost over.
Could Manasseh Azure Awuni be saying that 2021 may be a waste of time under President Nana Akufo-Addo's first-year in his second term in office?
"By the time the MMDAs finish confirming the MMDCEs and the swearing-ins are completed, 2021 will almost be over" Manasseh Azure Awuni stated on his social media wall as the nomination of MMDCEs is being kept so long.
Leading to that, deputy Communication officer for NDC in the Wenchi constituency, Abdul Mumuni Carlos has alleges that:
"Nine(9) months now.
No Common Fund.
No Counterpart funds for DACF RFG.
This will only happen under Nana Akufo Addo's govt".
Could Don Carlos and Manasseh Azure Awuni mean that Akufo-Addo's first year in his second term could be a waste of time as no funds has been sent to various assemblies for development?
Well, i see it as no waste of year because as far as the president is directing affairs of the assemblies and former MMDCES are watching over the assemblies, the year is not a waste but what do you think about this?
