
The Director of Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the former Minister for Youth and Sports, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah in an Interview with TV3 has indicated that he is set to contest for the position of a General Secretary when the party opens its nominations. He revealed his intention to contest for this position on 24th June, 2022.
In his words, he said, “In November when nominations are opened, I will be filing for the General Secretary position".
He further opined that he has a clear understanding of what the NDC should do and also has the capacity to work with everybody who is under the umbrella fraternity.
This revelation by Elvis Afriyie Ankrah reveals that the national contest in the NDC will not be easy at all. This is because, if the incumbent secretary Aseidu Nketiah, decides to contest to again, the contest will be really tough.
