Lead Counsel for Mr. John Dramani Mahama in the ongoing Election Petition case, Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata has expressed his unhappiness about the decision by the Supreme Court Judges to prevent the Electoral Commission boss from mounting the witness box.

Soon after the court ruled with a unanimous decision, Mr. Tsatsu Tsikatsa expressed his appreciation for the ruling but was quick to add that his side will bounce back stronger.

According to Mr. Tsatsu Tsikatsa who has been tagged by many as the law Lord, he will lead the petitioner to reopen the case.

Even though they have already closed their case, Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata and the rest of the National Democratic Congress Legal team are full of conviction that, Mrs. Jean Mensah must mount the witness box to testify.

The petitioner is seeking the court to allow Mrs. Jean Mensah to avail herself for questions on why she made mistakes in her declaration of the 2020 presidential election.

According to Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikatsa, his side will issue a subpoena address to the electoral commission boss, Mrs. Jean Mensah to demand a response to their questions.

"We will apply to reopen our case and on that basis, we are issuing a subpoena address to the chairperson of the electoral commission (Mrs. Jean Mensah)”. Mr. Tstatsu Tsikata indicated.

With this, Mr. Tsatsu Tsikatsa is still looking for another window to query Mrs. Jean Mensah. He is still unhappy with the ruling since many have said that the case of the petitioner is already a lost one.

Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata has expressed his willingness to bounce back soon.

In the meantime, the spokesperson for the second respondent in the Election Petition case, Mr. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has revealed that, should Mr. Tsatsu Tsikatsa decide to subpoena Mrs. Jean Mensah, they also have the right to drag Mr. John Dramani Mahama to the witness box through the same means since he is the Petitioner.
