The American based Ghanaian investigative Journalist, Kevin Taylor has descended heavily on the Minister of Education, Yaw Osei Adutwum. According him, he has failed his first test as a Minister due to his inability handle the Achimota school admissions’ brouhaha.
Kevin Taylor made this statement on his ‘WITH ALL DUE RESPECT’ program as reaction to the Ministers’ release that; GES hasn’t rescinded its directive for Achimota school to admit the two Rastafarian student.
He stated that, these people said they are the ones who can change our educational system but they can’t and this Education Minister can’t do anything to improve our educational system.
“This man who lived in America comes to Ghana and says that, this kid is a Rastafarian and so must stay at home whilst his colleagues are in school learning for an investigation to be conducted.
If you told us that you can change our educational system; this was your firs test and you should have proved yourself to us. If Adutwum was bring something different unto the table to prove his predecessors wrong, this was his first test and he has failed woefully.
He has failed because as an Educational Minister, he is waiting for GES and the PTA of Achimota School to conclude their investigations into the issues. An investigation for what really?” – he said
