The PRO, Madam Juliana Antwi and the Regional Complain Officer, Mr. Isaac Osei Agyemang told the media that some people have started thinking that the electricity and water supplying are at the verge of collapsing and therefore the region will soon experienced shortages but the officers said these thoughts are not realistic to happen.
In fact, Madam Juliana Antwi told the public that, they should avoid third-parties businesses in-terms of connections or getting accessory fittings such as metres to help the good works of the water and electricity in the region.
She added, some people pay metres installation fees and management to wrong people (connection men) and later regret because of failure to execute the necessary works. The victims later reports to them and the PURC fails to resolve such issues. It is therefore a great challenge they are facing now so she is advising all not to engage in any third-party business so ever.
The regional complain officer, Mr. Osei Agyemang also complained of collaboration among the PURC, the Ghana Water Company and Northern Electrification Department Company (NEDCO).
He said, they should henceforth come together to explain issues to the people of their jurisdiction, thus, Bono region of Ghana so they would understand the processes in acquiring accessories and other services at affordable prices and needed time.
He emphasized on the frequent lights off (electricity power breaking) that it is not showing signals of "dumsor".
He continued to assure that there is no way Bono region will experience electricity power shortages that will result to "dumsor" and water as well in Bono region of Ghana but what the region is experiencing is due to systems upgrading and misinformation.
