Many people and institutions have shared their views on the legalization and criminalization of LGBTQI in Ghana. Minister-designates and Parliamentarians have also declared their position on the legalization of gay and lesbianism in the country. Following this, a lot of people have urged the Presidency to also come out boldly to state their position on the debate of gay and lesbianism in the country the country.
Saturday, 27th February,2021 at the installation of the second Archbishop at Asante Mampong, the 5th President of the 4th Republic Of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has stated the position of the Executive Arm Of Government on the legalization of LGBTQI in the country. According to the 1st gentleman of the state, he and his government will not sit back quietly for gay and lesbianism to be legalized.
" I have said and I will always say it. There is no way I will allow gay and lesbianism to become a legal act in the country". He stated.
