This is one of the news we have been expecting and waiting for as the government through her Trade and Industry Minister-designate, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has finally confirmed what will happen in Kumasi, Ashanti region. This is what the government said will happen in Kumasi through it Trade and Industry Minister-designate, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen who announced that the Free Zones Enclave in Kumasi would be turned into Ghana’s second industrial city, after Tema.
Mr Kyerematen said a public-private partnership was advancing towards developing the land acquired by the Government at Ejisu for activities in the industrial city because of the strategic location of the Ashanti Region.
According to the government representative, who emphatically made it known that Kumasi In Ashanti Region will be made an industrial area just like we can find in the capital city, Accra.
He added that the One District One Factory (1D1F) flagship program of the Ghana government also had the establishment and development of the industrial parks. According to the government representative, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen who went further to explain that the industrialization program for Kumasi has been delayed due to lack of quick funding.
However, he made it known that, “This is going to be the next industrial enclave after Tema,” the Minister-designate declared.
We all know that this current government is really trying to make the country a more suitable and standard for all her citizens. And this particular move to industrialize Kumasi in the Ashanti region is a commendable and tremendous welcome development and they should keep on the good work.
