Even In UK, Illegal Immigrants Sneak In - Gabby Otchere-Darko Defends The Security On Aisha's Arrest

Leading member of the New Patriotic Party, Gabby Otchere-Darko has quizzed why Ghanaians are busily bashing the security and others on the re-arrest of Aisha Huang.

He is of the view that, even in advanced countries like United Kingdom, illegal immigrants still finds a way to sneak in. He insinuated that in 2024, Ghanaians should vote for someone who will promise them to build a wall across the borders.

A post shared on Gabby Otchere-Darko's official Facebook page on Aisha Huang issue reads;

"Why do we love to overbash ourselves? Even in island UK illegal immigrants (Black Africans included) sneak in. She’s been caught and under arrest; there our system worked. Vote for a 2024 manifesto which promises you a wall across our borders."

Background

Aisha Huang, a Chinese galamsey Kingpin was arrested in 2019 and deported to China for illegal mining activities. She has sneaked back into the country and still engages in the galamsey. Latest information has it that she even has a Ghana Card.

Reactions

Popular Investigative Journalist Mannaseh Azure reacted to Gabby's post.

According to him, this is not just an illegal migrant who sneaked into the country for heaven's sake. He explained that,

Aisha Huang was arrested for sponsoring the massive destruction of our forests. Your government let her go away while you imprisoned hundreds of your citizens and fellow Africans for milder illegal mining offences. And you're justifying this?

"Sir, things like this rob the black race of the little respect we have. She won't do this in China and get away with it. A Ghanaian won't get away with a tenth of what she did here. She won't do this in the UK and have the opportunity to re-enter. This is a new low for Ghana. It is one of the days anyone with a modicum of shame should be ashamed of being a Ghanaian." Mannaseh added.
