"You are fond of doing that, stop it" - Nana Akomea points out to Okudzeto Ablakwa

Nana Akomea, a strong member of the New Patriotic Party and the Managing Director of the Intercity STC has admonished Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa this morning on Metro TV. The discussion on the 2022 budget statement took a turn to the issues of the impact of the tidal waves on the Volta region that is wrecking a lot of havoc. In an attempt to discredit the current NPP government, Okudzeto Ablakwa pointed out that the 2022 budget takes no account of efforts to deal with the destructive effects of the waves in the Volta region. He continued to say that he and his colleagues in the Volta region are being discriminated against by the government for not listening to their plight, and capturing it in the budget.

However, another look at the budget statement, following a question asked by Kweku Baako through Randy Abbey, showed that no coastal project was captured in the budget under the works and housing section. Following this revelation, Nana Akomea bluntly told Okudzeto to stop the politics of tribalism. "This business about you and your Volta cocos trying to say that because it is from the region government is not paying attention to it is cheap. You are fond of that. You should stop it. When there was shortage of passport documents in the Volta region Sammy Okudzeto said that it was because it is in the Volta region, but at the same time there was shortage in the Ashanti region", Nana Akomea pointed out to Ablakwa.
