Asante Bediatuo, cousin and secretary to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, made the headlines for the huge expenditure on his luxurious wedding. After that time, less was heard from his side. Today, National Democratic Congress communicator who aspires to be the National Youth Organizer for the party, Elikem Kotoko resurrected the much dead issue but this time, in a different way.
He dug into the private life of Asante Bediatuo and publicized the car the man used; Mayback. Elikem Kotoko estimated the price of the car to be 300, 000 pounds which according to him, was a pardonable estimate since he revealed that the price could be as high as 600, 000 pounds. Converting this whopping sum, this gives us 2,479,720.19 Ghanaian Cedi.
Elikem Kotoko explained that the reckless expenditure by this government outweighs that during Mahama's administration. He later went ahead to predict the response of the NPP whenever they are criticized, "We had our money long ago".
