The President of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo has officially dropped names of 39 persons as Nominees for Deputy Ministers and One Charles Adu- Boahen as minister of state at the ministry of finance.
The long awaited announcement came with a lot surprises as many new names pop up including Mr. Mark Okraku Mantey, an entertainment person and showbiz critic as a deputy minister.
The names when approved by Ghana’s Parliament will serve under 24 different ministries under the new Akuffo Addo’s government.
Mr. Mark Okraku Mantey has been finally recognized by the NPP government and named him as a deputy Minister nominee for Tourism, Arts and Culture and when approved will serve under Hon. Barbara Oteng Gyasi who is currently the substantive minister.
The appointment of Mr. Mark Okraku Mantey became the topic in the showbiz industry when he ( Mark Okraku Mantey) shown interest in the position, many entertainment industry players kicked against it whiles others also gave him the support.
Mr. Mark Okraku Mantey who doubles as Programmes Manager of Hitz FM, is a household name in the Ghanaian music industry. He is known for producing music in the 90s and early 2000s before shifting full time to radio management.
