Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan John Kwadwoa Kyeremanten has received a rapturous reception from the people of the Ashanti region as he joined President Akufo-Addo to tour the area.
Mr Kyeremanten, who hails from the Ashanti Region, the political stronghold of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), is seeking to replace Akufo-Addo as presidential candidate of the party.
‘It is always a joy to be back home.
“On Monday, 17th October, 2022, the second day of the President's four-day visit to the Ashanti region, l joined him to inspect various projects at Manhyia, Subin, Toase and Nhyiaeso.
“At Toase, the President commissioned a completed residential facility for Appeals Court Judges and a newly constructed district magistrate's court.
“We also inspected ongoing works on the construction of Phase II of the Kejetia Market Development Project and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Maternity and Children's Block”, he posted on Facebook on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
President Akufo-Addo is on a 4-day tour of the Ashanti Region to inspect ongoing projects and commission some.
The president's entourage included Mr Kyeremanten, the Minister for Energy, Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Minister for Food and Agriculture, Afriyie Akoto, among other leading members of the NPP.
