The Minister of Lands And Natural Resources, Abu Jinapor has launched a massive campaign against Galamsey. According to him, the law will be applied without fear or favor, and it doesn't matter which government appointee or leader is involved.
Kwesi Pratt who is the Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper the disclosed that he feels pity for Abu Jinapor because he is in big trouble due to his campaign against galamsey in Ghana.
Kwesi Pratt made this revelation as a panelist on 'Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV when he gave his opinion on the clampdown on illegal mining in the country.
He said that Abu Jinapor is in trouble if he wants to carry this campaign to a logical conclusion. The only way he can overcome it is for the president to back him else, it will be another failure.
"I pity Abu Jinapor, he is in big trouble because the work which has been given to him is not a child's play.
It requires a lot of work and commitment, and he has to withstand temptation." - he said
He added that he wishes Abu Jinapor well, but the job that has been given to him is not an easy task.
