The President Akuffo-Addo-led administration has received a lot of criticisms during its second term. With the objective of gearing the country towards, many have expressed their views and opinions on the governance being experienced.
The recent call has been made by the Caucus for Democratic Governance (CDG-GH). The group called for the resignation of the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over what the group described as incompetence and lack of leadership traits.
In a press release signed by the Executive Director of CDG-GH, Mr. E. K. Hayford, expressed concerns over several issues confronting the country such as the country's public debt and the misuse of funds by the government. The group in the press release expressed its worry over the growing public debt. It stated that the public debt was 320 billion and represented 78% of the country's GDP. The group further stated that the president had increased his salary by 130% while he decided to pin down the salary of the civil service to a meager 4% increment.
The group explained that citizens had no jobs, and so accommodation and three square meals a day cannot be afforded by persons. It thus called on the President to resign for incompetence and lack of leadership traits due to the various issues confronting the country.
