The president of the country, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has confessed and admitted to making a mistake with the issues of promising to build a harbour in Cape Coast. The news of the president's promise to the people of the Central region to build a harbour for them rose when he the president rather said that he only promised to build a landing site in Cape Coast, not a harbour.
As part of the president's tour in the Greater Accra region, he visited the studios of Peace FM this Thursday morning for a one on one interview with Kwame Sefa Kayi. Through the discussion arose the question of the conflicting statements made concerning the promise to build the harbour and later, rather a landing site. Being honest to the people of Ghana and Cape Coast, the president responded by saying that such promise to build the harbour was a mistake. "That was a mistake. I am apologizing to the people of Cape Coast for the mixup. There is a harbour at Elmina so the promise for Cape Coast is a landing site. The president can also make a mistake, as a human, so they should pardon me", Nana Addo apologized on live radio.
