It was not long ago that the president of the Republic of Ghana, His excellency Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo appointed his cabinet ministers he will be working with on his second term of office. These ministers were successfully vetted and have been sworn in to work in their various sectors. Honourable Francis Asenso-Boakye who is the member of Parliament for Bantama constituency in the Ashanti region, was appointed minister for works and housing.

The former deputy chief of staff has proven beyond doubt that, he is capable and willing to work for mother Ghana. Earlier today, it was seen that the minister tours various housing sectors in the Greater Accra Metropolis. According to the minister, he and his team visited the Saglemi affordable housing project, Kpone affordable housing project, National housing mortgage fund project and also Tema Kaiser flat all in the Greater Accra Region.
Following his visit, he made it clear that, his tour was to get first hand assessment on the progress of various affordable housing projects undertaken by government. So it was a working tour to monitor the projects. He went ahead by saying after the brief tour, he realised that the housing sector is a priority of government and as such, there will be a collaboration with diligent stakeholders to find innovative ways to comprehensively address the housing deficit in the country. With regards to what he is saying, it means government has taken the responsibility to reduce the burden of housing in the country. This will at the end ease some pressure and tension on the sector.
