No More Dancing And Receptions At Weddings– President Akufo Addo.

According to the president, he had hoped that the next time he addressed the nation, it would have been to totally remove all restrictions in relation to the Covid-19 restrictions. Unfortunately, it was rather the opposite. He expressed worry over the blatant disregard for the observation of the laid down protocols.

He mentioned that, he did not wish the country go back to the days of partial lockdown since it affected every aspect of life. Jobs were lost, schools had to close down and many businesses suffered. The economy in general also suffered.

Touching on the new strain known as Delta, he stated sadly that there had been a rise in the cases of infection. He mentioned that there had been at least forty deaths in the past ten weeks, all related to Covid-19.

For that reason, he said that restrictions on weddings and funeral are to be reintroduced, spanning just two hours. There are not to be dancing, shaking of hands, receptions and even eating at the venue.

Religious gatherings should have the one meter spacing.

With all that, the overriding concern was the wearing of the nose masks. He stated that those who failed to wear it would be severely dealt with.
