The vice president of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia does the unexpected and causes massive stir at the backyard of former president John Dramani Mahama, who doubles as the current flagbearer for National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He took the burden upon himself and paid a visit to the chiefs and people of Gonjaland in the interest of protecting the environment.
According to the vice president's advice to the people of the Gonjaland revealed they are blessed with natural mineral resources and they should do as much as they can to protect and the government is also ready to pay special attention to their needs.
Speaking to the chiefs on the 45th annual festival also added youth should admonish illegal mining in the community and report any person who tries to disobey the rules.
This festival took place in the hometown of former president John Dramani Mahama, though the people were expecting him to represent it is, unfortunately, he was not there and couldn’t even send them any notice.
According to Bawumia's final words, the people should accept NPP and vote for them in 2024 for the good job they are doing. It will be a blow if Mahama does not send any message to his people he will definitely lose the 2024 election.
