The 2020 running mate for John Dramani Mahama, who was the Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman has boldly revealed unexpected secrets about the position she held during the 2020 elections.
Ben Ephson, and a legendary NDC member, Obed Asamoah have all argued that for John Mahama to win the 2024 elections, he has to change his 2020 running mate, Prof. Jane Naana.
While reacting to those comments by such people on TV XYZ, Prof. Jane Naana boldly revealed that the running mate of a Presidential Candidate is not only for men. She called for support for women in this country.
“It is us [Ghanaians] who think it [the running mate slot. ] is reserved for men. We should know it is human terrain. When we look at our history, we have suffered a lot: from slavery to other sufferings in recent times. Women are an integral part of the history of the country. When I look at our currency I ask myself whether women didn’t do enough to be celebrated at that stage. Sometimes, people don’t give women the support they need to succeed." Prof. Jane Naana boldly revealed this.
Thanks for reading this article. Would you advise John Mahama to still stick with Prof. Jane as his running mate for the 2024 elections?
What's your take on what she said? Do you think women have not been given the needed support in this country?
