The speaker of parliament Alban Bagbin has sent a word of caution to the majority leader of the house Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu. He is not happy about how Kyei Mensah always challenges his decisions while sitting as the chairman and presiding over the business of the house in his media interviews. He doesn't like that and has cautioned him to stop doing that henceforth.
The speaker of the house was complaining about the fact that Parliament is being starved of resources. They are not being financed properly to carry out their duties. The majority in Parliament debunked this assertion of the speaker. Annoh Dompreh was the first person to say that the speaker was impatient. But what I don't understand is that just a few hours after the honourable speaker made his statement, monies were released.
Could it be true that the government is indeed starving Parliament of the needed funds? Could it be true that Bagbin is not from the majority side of the house hence they are trying to frustrate him? Why has the majority side of the house-made it a point to always disrespect Bagbin as the speaker of the house?
This latest caution came after Kyei Mensah granted an interview to a media house challenging the statement Of Bagbin that they are starving the house of the needed funds to function. This was what the majority side of the house wasn't happy about.
