He Has To Redeem What Is Left Of His Reputation – Kwesi Pratt Fires On ‘Alhaji and Alhaji’

The year is coming to an end and today Pan African TV’s ‘Alhaji and Alhaji’ had its last political talk show for the year. One of the issues looked at included the ban on demonstrations in Accra imposed on the NDC.

According to Kwesi Pratt Jnr., this was a bad move and should have been allowed to happen. He shared with Sena Nombo and the audience his thoughts on that issue.

“I have seen many dictators in my life. Not once did I hear Jean Bokassa of Central African Republic banning demonstrations. Not once did I hear Idi Amin banning demonstrations.

Now we have come to the destination where we are banning demonstrations. I pity his excellency Nana Akufo-Addo. It is a huge stain on the things you have done for the nation.

It is important he stands up to demonstrate that he is not what they want him to look like. Nana Akufo-Addo must stand up to be heard. Not all his reputation is lost. He has some left. He has to redeem what is left” Kwesi Pratt insisted.

According to Mr. Pratt, the president has some virtue and he shouldn’t allow it to be tainted before he leaves. He charged the president to review the order on the ban on demonstrations which was a right for citizens to express their grievances.

Do you agree with him? Is it the president who is supposed to review this? Are some political figures behind the banning of demonstrations imposed on the NDC?
