Concerning facts about road construction in ghana we can say that the erstwhile NDC government led by John Dramani Mahama constructed a total of 1,068km of roads in their entire 8-year stay in office.
500km out of the total 1,068km were asphaltic overlays. Meaning, that they constructed 568km of bitumen surfacing and re-graveling of our roads.
With Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia the NPP government, from 2017-2020 constructed 3,476.57km in its first firm. 1,301km out of the total 3,476.57km were asphaltic overlays. The remaining 2,175.57km were bitumen surfacing and re-graveling.
It's quite controversial with the idea that no government since Independence has been able to construct more than 3000km of roads in its first term aside from the Akufo-Addo government.
Are these verifiable facts true and that they cannot be disputed since Independence concerning road construction?
