Akufo-Addo In "Hot Waters" After Posting This With South Africa's President

During the weekend, specifically on Saturday, December 4, 2021, the President of the Republic of South Africa, His Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa, paid a two day State visit to Ghana and was received by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo into the Jubilee House, the seat of Ghana's Presidency, and this has caused Ghanaians to descend on the President after he posted stuffs on social media.

The purpose of his two-day state visit, according President Nana Akufo-Addo, is to deepen and strengthen the already existing bilateral cooperation between the two member countries in Africa and also to bind firmly the ties of friendship between Ghana and South Africa.

About some few hours later, President Nana Akufo-Addo and His Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa arrived at Juaben in the Ashanti Region as part of the two-day state visit to witness and experience the display of the rich Ghanaian culture at the 50th anniversary celebration of the enstoolment of the Juabenhene(Paramount Chief of Juaben), whose also the current chair of the Council of State.

However, Ghanaians on social media who are obviously fed up with the current economic hardships in the country and which they know is almost the direct opposite, if not exactly, the quality of life led by South Africans, have descended on President Nana Akufo-Addo and are calling on him to desist from just travelling and enjoying with the President of South Africa but most importantly learn better leadership skills and strategies from him.

According to Ghanaians on social media, there is a huge development imbalance between Ghana and South Africa, but instead of President Akufo-Addo to condescend to the position of a student and learn from the leader of (close to) the only developed country in Africa about solving unemployment, inflation and the general problems of underdevelopment and some solutions, he is enjoying scenery with him.

Ghanaians have also expressed disappointment in President Nana Akufo-Addo especially after his silence on the ongoing impasse in Parliament about the approval of the 2022 Budget Statement and Economic Policy. They said that it only shows how unconcerned he is towards the development of the nation.
