Citizens Descend Heavily On Gabby Otchere Darko As He Justifies NPP's IMF Bailout By Posting This.

Ghanaians all over have shown their disappointment in government for finally resorting to the IMF for help after struggles to pass the E-levy. This has led to series of justifications and attacks on social media on both sides as members of both parties want to convince Ghanaians on knowing what is better for them.

Writing from the official twitter handle of Gabby Otchere-Darko is a statement he shared in relation with the trending issue in the country currently, Ghana heading to the IMF for support. In his statement, he made it clear to Ghanaians that, “On March 23, 2022, the Egyptian government officially requested support from the IMF to help mitigate the economic fallout related to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The IMF since 2016 has approved three loans to Egypt worth a combined US$20 billion”. This statement of his has attracted the attention of many concerned citizens as they claim he being a cousin of President Nana Addo is trying to cover up for almost all the inappropriate decisions and steps taken by the NPP. In a nut shell, Gabby Otchere-Darko was trying to justify Ghana's application for a bailout from the IMF for Egypt who is also suffering from economic like Ghana from a same source has gone for a loan for the third time and we are now going for the first time.

A whole lot of reactions was recorded in relation with the above post for which I gathered some few of them. Find below some of the reactions of some citizens:

Many Ghanaians are not against government going to the IMF actually but are worried about how the ruling party when in opposition criticized the then ruling party, the NDC, when they also resorted to go for a loan from the IMF. Also, some months ago, it was made clear to us that Ghana is not going to the IMF by the Finance Minister so what has happened then? Ghanaians claim they have been deceived and know what to do in the next general elections.

What will you say about the above post from Gabby? Let your opinion be heard in the comments section below. Do not left out. Have a nice day!
