“There Is More Value In Planting Trees Than Mentioning His Name” – Sam George Speaks Again

The past week saw President Akufo-Addo leading Ghanaians to plant over 5 million trees across the country. the event is expected to be an annual programme to preserve Ghana’s forests and trees. Today, Monday, June 14, 2021, Sam George, MP for Ningo Prampram and Collins Adomako, MP for Afigya Kwabre North joined Serwaa Amihere for GHOne’s newspaper review.

One of the topics discussed was Martin Amidu’s latest epistle on the Acting Special Prosecutor. According Martin Amidu, the acting boss is nothing but a puppet who is being controlled by some else at the top. Serwaa asked Sam George to share his remarks about the comments of Mr. Amidu.

“It reiterates my position that people need to take mental health care carefully. I don’t care what anyone thinks. Martin Amidu should know that his day in the sun is over. He should go and sit at home and enjoy his retirement. What is his track record as a Special Prosecutor? He only prosecuted an NDC person he was fighting with.

All the scandals we saw under Akufo-Addo, which ones did he prosecute? Everyone is wrong apart from him. Show me one person Martin Amidu has commended in this country. Serwaa, let’s talk about tree planting. There is more value in tree planting than talking about Martin Amidu. He should just enjoy his retirement and leave us alone” Sam George said.
