Us based Ghanaian journalist and founder of Loud silence multimedia Kevin Taylor has again released another deadly arsenal into the Ashanti kingdom through a message addressed to Otumfour Osei Tutu II
In a message he sent to Otumfour, Kevin Taylor expressed disappointment in the fact that Otumfour has allowed himself and the sacred sikadwa to be used as a pre and post elections conflicting mediation tool
In his letter, he pointed out that the stool should prioritize the progress of Asanteman so when politicians like Akufo Addo and his crop of leaders do something, it's Otumfour's duty to speak sense to them directly in the eye.
According to Kevin Taylor, a lot of people in Ashanti Region have been killed but Otumfour had kept quiet about it, citing example from the brutality at Ejura where innocent people were killed and yet no justice have been served
"This is not he first time such a deliberate killing has happened on your land, a few years ago, some Zongo boys from the Ashanti Region were killed unjustly by the Police.
You never said anything about that either, Nana I’m sure if any of these slain Young men was in line to inherit your throne, you would never allow it to slide without calling for Justice" part of his letter read.
He further bemoaned that the people who were deliberately killed by politicians may not be direct asantes but once they are living in the Ashanti land, it's Otumfour's duty as a king to protect them and speak for everyone.
"Why haven’t you spoken on the Ejura Killings Nana? Is it because the victims are settlers and not direct Asantes?" He questioned.
He advised Otumfour to look around how Akufo Addo have developed his own home town and have neglected the Ashanti Region, all because Otumfour will not speak. He said Otumfour have reduced his kingship to a ceremonial ground where people come to make merry and go free.
