President of policy think-thank IMANI Africa Franklin Cudjoe has lament for wasting his time with a group that was formed prior to the 2016 general elections called Occupy Ghana and its activities especially the ‘Red Friday’ crusade.
In a post on his Facebook handle, captured by Ghanaian Journalist Attractive Mustapha Nii Okai Inusah, Franklin Cudjoe who has been consistent with honesty on government policies and operation since the erstwhile National Democratic Congress regime till date seems to have recounted memories of the ‘Red Friday’ events and the idea he conceived which motivated him to join such campaign.
He made the comments on 10th June, 2020 whiles the Chairman of the People’s National Congress Bernard Mornah and leader of Fighters League Ernesto Yeboah were sharing their experiences from how they have been handled by the Ghana Police on separate occasions which were warranted by political tension in the country.
His statement reads “Watching Mornah and Ernesto Yeboah on Citi TV dorn red makes me miss #RedFriday. We just wasted our time”.
Occupy Ghana was formed on the premise of serving as a watchdog to make sure government renders good governance and accountability to Ghanaians. It is obvious Franklin Cudjoe’s expectations of president Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration have been shot down based on his recent comments.
