That is the only language they understand: Sammy Gyamfi descends on gov’t over strike

Today was a tensed day and a stressful one for most Ghanaians. Being a victim of the exercise that the drivers forced Ghanaians to embark on, I could feel the pain of being stranded as well as the important of commercial drivers.

Drivers are just as important as any other group of people in the country and it was today that Ghanaians realized this fact.

Work was a difficult place to reach and home was a difficult place to reach as well. People who tried to make it to work had troubles coming back home and vice versa.

Commercial drivers after going on this strike gathered around to play football and this even cracked people up and gave them audience.

After the president had come to an agreement with the officials of commercial drivers, they have resumed work but Sammy Gyamfi has this to tell government.

According to Sammy Gyamfi, the actions of drivers has proven that Ghanaians still have what it takes to make the change that they have been wanting to make.

According to him, he feels it is a deliberate decision by government to stress Ghanaians and look elsewhere whiles meting out these punishments to innocent citizens.

Speaking on okay fm and reacting to the current strike, he said that, people have been saying this all the time and it seems Ghanaians demonstrating and going on strike is the only way Nana Addo and his people hear the cries of the citizens. Because that is the only language they understand, he added.

He revealed that he has come to realize that government under Nana Addo have only spoken or reacted to the actions of Ghanaians through strikes and many other chaotic acts and this is not what a competent government should do.

And from the look of things, the Npp need to come together and agree on leaving office to save the country because they are clear on the fact that they can not lead the country anywhere.
