
The Northern Regional Police Command has arrested 6 individuals for attempting to forment trouble at the Tamale Sports Stadium venue for the elections.
The six were picked up by Police on suspicion that, they wanted to cause trouble at the venue for the elections.
According to Police source, the six sneaked in to the Tamale Sports Stadium on Thursday night where they were hiding till today Friday.
They were picked up without accreditation cards which all people are required to have before being allowed to enter inside the Stadium.
The suspects were arrested upon intelligence and were sent to the Regional Police Headquarters for further investigations.
The Regional Crime officer indicated that, security could not wait untill the suspects cause trouble inside the venue for the elections.
About 386 delegates are expected to cast their votes to elect new Regional party executives to steer the affairs of the Party for the next 4 years.
