Popular controversial Ghanaian comedian, brand influencer and social media personality, Kwame Asare Obeng has finally exposed High life musician, George Kwabena Adu for lying against President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
George Kwabena Adu alleged that he has not received any form of compensation for the popular campaign song he did for President Nana Akuffo-Addo during 2016 presidential election campaign. He said he did the song '𝐕𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐞' out of love for the presidential candidate for the NPP and he wasn't expecting anything from him.
Kwame A-plus reacting to the statement of the High life musician said it is not true and the campaign song was recorded in 2008. He said he took George Kwabena Adu to Mr Ken Ofori Atta and Nana Poku at Data bank where he was compensated with the sum of GH¢ 45,000, and was later paid GH¢ 25,000 to shoot the music video and another GH¢ 30,000 to promote the song, making it GH¢ 100,000 he received from the NPP government.
He also said George Kwabena Adu received GH¢ 2,000 each time he performed at a concert in Ghana , he participated in 12 concerts and was paid GH¢ 20,000 by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo at Golden Tulip Kumasi during the last Ashanti regional rally.
