On the 7th of January 2021, the process to elect the keenly contested speaker of parliament was marr by the prolong arguments, confrontations, violence and attempt to snatch ballot papers by a member of parliament.
He made these statements while answering questions on the issues that transpired in parliament on the 7th of January 2021 on Joynews.
According to Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak, he couldn't fathom why the leader Osei Kyei Mensah did not stop Carlos Ahenkro from snatching ballot papers after honorable Carlos Ahenkora, the member of parliament for Tema west constituency has threatened to go however speaking head with snatching of the ballot papers.
He alleged prior to the snatching of ballot papers, Honorable Carlos Ahenkora went to Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu and express his intensions to disturb the counting process and therefore honourable Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu could have prevented him from snatching the ballot papers.
