The editor in chief for new crusading guide news paper, Abdul Malik Kwaku Baako Jnr has stated that prison officers should informed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to pardon Abuga Pele who has caused financial lost to the state some years ago, and was imprisoned for six years but it has been reported that he is sick and his health situation is in critical condition.
Kwaku Baako Jnr speaking on Metro TV good morning Ghana show today, Thursday, 3rd June, 2021 stated that why should prison officers keep him there if it is critical condition and said if they know that Abuga Pele's health condition is not good then they should informed the president and the appropriate authorities about it.
According to him, he will recommend that he should be pardon because he is almost done with the six years punishment giving to him and the president should exercise his prerogative of Mercy on him.
Kwaku Baako Jnr disclosed that before someone could be moved from Nsawam prison hospital to another hospital, that means the health condition of that particular prisoner is out of hand and needed authorities to intervene for the prisoner and said people should forget about him causing financial lost to the state.
"He is in a critical condition but I haven't seen any medical report yet. I believe if you are a prisoner sent to prison and the prison officers have a fair knowledge about what is happening to you, then they have to inform the appropriate authorities for them to take action against it.
I will recommend that if they have done their checks and it is critical condition then they should inform the president to exercise his prerogative of Mercy on him and pardoned him" he said on the show.
