Kumi Guitar has once again expressed his opinion about the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) with regards to the upcoming election 2020. Expressing himself on one of Ghana's bigger and famous FM stations, will his message go into the mind of electorates? If so, Nana Akufo-Addo and his NPP should forget about having a second term of office. Similarly, John Mahama and his NDC's dream of reclaiming the seat of presidency may fall in the water.

Nana Yaw Kumi, famed as Kumi Guitar, is a Ghanaian highlife musician and entertainer. In an interview on Asempa FM, one of the prestigious FM station in the country, the highlife artist pleaded with Ghanaians to vote out the ruling NPP and the opposition NDC in the coming 2020 elections.

Speaking on Asempa FM, he stated why Ghanaians must pay heed to his plea and vote against the two dominating parties in Ghana. The following were some of the reasons he leveraged against Nana Akufo-Addo's New Patriotic Party and John Mahama's National Democratic Congress;

Failure to fulfil their promises; preach one thing and practice the opposite

Kumi Guitar in his interview mentioned that both the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress has nothing new to offer under the sun. He added that these two parties have in the past rain so many promises which they have failed to fulfil and the trend will continue should any of them be given the seat again.

He also emphasized on another thing that these two parties are fond of doing. The highlife artiste said that NPP and the NDC will preach one thing and practice something different. In other words, they promise Ghanaians heaven but gives hell when the seat is taken.

The 'Betweener' hitmaker mentioned in the interview that in other to avoid vague promises from these parties, Ghanaians should test the waters with new people who are more willing to develop the country. To put it in a different context, he meant that the pulse of the other parties should be tested this time to see what they have got to offer Ghanaians.

Indeed, if this message from Kumi Guitar, speaking in a bigger platform, should go down well for Ghanaians, then, there is a possibility that Nana Akufo-Addo and his NPP will hang their boots. Similarly, the NDC crew and their dream of reclaiming the presidential seat will be washed in the mud.
