Fifteen individuals from Ghanaian parliament and 56 staff individuals have contracted Covid, nearby media report citing the speaker.
They returned positive tests following a new round of testing, Speaker Alban Bagbin is cited as saying in parliament on Thursday.
The tainted legislators and staff have been asked to self-segregate while going through treatment, as indicated by reports.
Parliament will subsequently just sit on Tuesdays and Thursdays from one week from now, with passage allowed to MP's and staff required for the matter of those days, the speaker is accounted for to have said.
There were grumblings of certain MP's avoiding COVID-19 testing.
Ghana has so far recorded more than 69,255 cases and 440 passings since it detailed its first case in March a year ago.
