The Residents of Kasaligu in the sagnarigu constituency at Tamale in the Northern region has lament over lack of potable drinking water in the Kasaligu area.
The residents complained that their only source of water is almost dry up and the water now has colour and is now save for drinking.
The women in the Kasaligu area said it has become compulsory for them to fetch the dirty water in the dam for their domestic purposes since they do not have any other alternative.
They added that unless alum is added to the water it can not serve a good purpose not to talk of drinking.
The residents lament that this is the kind of water their children have to bath before going to school which they think is not save.
They therefore appealed to the government and the MP for sagnarigu constituency to drill a borehole for Kasaligu area to serve as potable drinking water in the dry season.
