The current intellectual attack on the Judiciary system of Ghana poses a dangerous threat to our democratic discourse. The Judiciary system is not a holy institution but we have appropriate mechanisms you can channel your grievances to in order to eschew unnecessary agitations and fuss.
Where should we seek legal address in terms of conflict, misunderstanding, injustices, abusiveness and unfairness when we subject the Judiciary system under public ridicule and criticism?
Today, February 26, 2021 the famous investigative reporter and freelance reporter, Manasseh Azure Awuni, post a “contemptuous” statement on the his Facebook page.
According to him, the Judiciary system should know that their legal powers and authority come from the people regardless of their looks.
Therefore, they should not frighten the masses by constraining their opinions.
He wrote that
“Judiciary, your power is from us the people, not your wigs. We know it when people cross the line of sanity. Don't gag us all”
