Bad news for Nana Addo as negative reactions greeted his post of Facebook

Yesterday marked exactly a year that Ghanaians went to the polls to renew the mandate of the President, His Excellency Nana Akuffo-Addo. The popularity of Nana Akuffo-Addo is however dwindling by the day especially due to the current happenings in the country. Though the president is hailed by the international community for his efforts in the development of the country, domestically, the majority of Ghanaians do not seem to feel the impact of his policies in their lives. The president has recently been adjudged the best African of the year by the Forbes magazine, coupled with Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa complimenting the efforts of the president, are but a few examples of the international recognition of president Nana Akuffo-Addo.

However, the inability of the president to fulfill the promise of giving permanent jobs to NABCO beneficiaries, allegations of the president spending huge sums of money on chartering private flights, instead of using the presidential jet, and the proposed E-levy are some of the reasons why the fame of the president has taken a nosedive.

Today, Wednesday, December 8, has been a very busy day for His Excellency Nana Akuffo-Addo. He delivered a keynote address at the 2nd Kofi Annan Peace and Security Forum; an initiative which was instituted in 2019 to honor the life of Kofi Annan, the former Secretary-General of the United Nations. Nana Akuffo-Addo later joined the Medical Women Association of Ghana, to mark women's Physician Day, which is paying tributes to the lives and work of female Ghanaian doctors, who have played significant roles in the medical profession in the country. This year's occasion marks the celebration of the first female medical doctor of Ghana, Susan Ofori-Atta, who happened to be the elder sister of the mother of the president.

But the reactions of most Ghanaians after the president posted these on his Facebook timeline is negative. Several Ghanaians took to the comments section to pour out their displeasure about the rulership of the president.
